Just before I turned 50, I realized I was not going to be able to work any longer. I was luckier than many people in that I had a pension plus my disability income. This allowed me to rent a 3 acre cabin in the woods of Blowing Rock NC. I have lived here 2 1/2 years and every year I have become stronger. Part of that is my faith in God, a good physical therapist and doctors, and the love of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This blog follows me as I cope with a syrnix in my spinal cord and learning to be a farmer despite my disability.
